Nothing Can Separate Us From His Love

Many people who do not know the love of God, have the wrong idea that the evil of the world or the negative things that can happen to us, are because God does not love us. Sometimes, even knowing Christ, we doubt that love.

But the apostle Paul was very wise and was convinced that there is nothing that can come between us and the love of God.

^“No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39 NET)

God’s love was so great that He gave us the most valuable gift, He sent Jesus to conquer on that Cross, for every sin and difficulty in this world. It was on that Cross, where it was shown that nothing can separate us from his love.

Where those battles and trials that we may be going through, have already been defeated.

• Neither death nor life: we must be convinced like the Apostle Paul that dying is Christ and living is gain, because Jesus overcame death to give us eternal life.

• Neither angels nor demons: we must not be afraid of spiritual beings «principalities and powers», Jesus conquered and showed his power on that cross. He already defeated them once and has the power to defeat them once again. So our trust must be in Him.

• Neither the present nor the future: nothing in the present and nothing in the future will separate us from the covenant of love that God made with us through Jesus Christ. We must live convinced that, even if we are going through difficult things or we are forgetting about Him, because we are living our best time;  we must not allow anything to separate us from his love.

• Neither height nor depth: not even the highest or lowest point of the universe can interfere between God and us. His love has no limits and goes beyond what any of us can imagine.

• Nothing in all creation: If all of the above were not enough, Paul adds that there is nothing created in this world that can separate us from the love of God. And that includes ourselves, who have tried many times to get away from his love. But, even if we do things that he does not like, we sin with our thoughts or our actions, and justify that we stray from the right paths, because of the wrong decisions we make. God’s love is still there. And keep calling us, and longing for to accept that love.

His love has nothing to do with what we are living in this world. The proof of his love is in the gift, which He has given us.  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

He loved us and gave himself for us. We must declare that nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God who is Jesus Christ, our Savior, who makes us more than conquerors, who loved us and lives in us.

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 NIV)
