It’s amazing when God deposits a dream in each of his children. God showed us the Líon News Ministry at Líon Church when the pandemic started. It was a time of great uncertainty, fear and terror, but above all bad news. God showed that we should bring good news to his people, and what could be better than a news based on the word of God for his children. This is how, after a while, we celebrate reaching number 100 with this article, which I have the honor and privilege of writing. When I was reflecting on God what I should write about, I felt the following chapter in Luke 15:4-7 (NLT):
4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!
We have all lost something, a friend, a partner, a job, etc., as well as that sheep that was lost. And it made me reflect how Jesus recognizes us as his own, as his children, his heirs, his loved ones, his longed-for, his servants. Jesus has a sense of belonging with those who have received him as Lord and Savior. He does not abandon the one who loves him, He does not let go of the hand of those who follow him, He never forgets those who pray to him and read his word.
Jesus will always look for us like that 100th sheep. Jesus will always bless us regardless of the reason why we turn away from Him. Jesus will always go for us even if we are in the worst moment of our lives. Jesus will not let any of his followers be lost, because he does not lose battles, therefore he does not lose any of his children (sheep) either.
Let us allow Jesus to take us in his arms. He joyfully wants to bless us again and forever, he wants to keep us close to his home, that is, to salvation and to his Kingdom of love, mercy and new opportunities. Jesus wants to throw a party for you, return to the Father, return to his arms of love, return to God with the same faith with which you sought him the first time. And if you haven’t met him, he loves you and wants to receive you, to bless you, lift you up, heal you and take you to his greatest purposes. He says at the end of the chapter that there is joy in heaven when we make God feel that we need him. Imagine how much more when we let him bless us with a family, with a new job, a marriage, a healing. Imagine how happy God is when we allow ourselves to be blessed by following him!
Many more articles are coming because God wants to continue bringing news of life to his children, so that we return to Him and thus He can bless us more every day! Thank you, God, for the first 100 articles and thanks to each person who writes and blesses in the name of Jesus, in this Ministry. God reward them 100 for one!
