En El Nombre De Jesús

I want to start this article by asking you a question: If your child made a mistake one day, would you walk away from him? Would you stop providing food or shelter? Would you stop loving him? Obviously your answer would be NO. His actions would have a consequence, but you would never stop loving him or take away his sustenance. As parents, we would never abandon our children for a mistake they make.

So, if we as humans act that way, why do we think that with God it is different? God will never stop loving you because of a sin or a mistake in your life. He is abundant in love, grace, and mercy. Surely there will be a consequence for our actions, but that’s life. Whatever we do, we will have positive or negative consequences, we will reap what we sow. But, that does not mean that God will walk away from you, or that for what you have done you will never see a blessing. If so, we would all be lost. God does not expect perfect Children who never make mistakes.

He looks for Children who love him, and that day by day, give the best of them. Children who fight against temptations and weaknesses. He knows that we are going to fail, but what He cares about is that we hold his hand and get back up. He will always be there to support us.

1 John 4:10 (RSV) says: “In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins”.

He sent his own Son to die on the cross for us, even knowing we would make mistakes. That is the greatest proof of love.

God’s love has no limits. He always thinks of you. So, if you feel that because of a mistake or a sin you are no longer worthy of Him, let me tell you that it does not work like that. His grace and mercy are new every morning. All you have to do is seek Him, ask His forgiveness, get back up and move on, knowing that He will always be with you.

Excellent! God’s love is both merciful but disciplined.
