Speaking Faith

Pablo is a servant of God who gives us many life teachings, in Philippians, chapter 4, we read about our attitude as children of God.

«Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7 NIV)

“I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.» (Philippians 4:10-13 NIV)

One of the most famous verses in the Bible is this: I CAN DO EVERYTHING IN CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.

Many of us have all learned this verse by heart and repeat it constantly, but, do we really live it at all times? In the context Paul says it is a manifestation of faith and gratefulness, but not because he is living a perfect life and in victory.

It teaches us to be grateful at all times, in abundance or scarcity, in health or sickness, in difficult trials and even when the requests are not being a reality.

In life we go through different processes and times, some believe that in walking with God everything will be perfect and we will not have to go through difficult moments, waiting or it will always be as we have planned in our mind. But when  complex circumstances come, faith and joy can be weakened and a destructive enemy arrives: complaint. Many times we begin to complain about what we do not have and we stop being grateful for what we do have, we are not really trusting in our God, but our vision is clouded by circumstances.

When we begin to see life with  our eyes set on God’s purpose and not on adverse situations,our faith is transformed and taken to another level, when we learn the lessons that the processes  teach us we can give thanks for the trial and learn from it. Even when we don’t understand  what’s  going on and  we  approach the Father,  He  gives us inexplicable peace and joy. Thetest is the process for our hearts to be transformed and prepared to receive miracles.

God longs that in the process we will learn to  walk  with Him, with a grateful heart at all times, to have  joy  in  adversity, peace in the storm,  and  faith in waiting.

«Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV)
