Sometimes we go through difficult situations and we question God: Why me? Why did you allow this? Why am i going through this?

But, I believe that many of the situations we experience are due to our own decisions and are not God’s fault. However, as human beings, most of the time we do not meditate and recognize our responsibility and blame God, and we just want God to get us out of there, we pray that «as soon as possible, He solves what He allowed to happen».  It is true, in this world there is affliction, and there are situations that are beyond our control. But on many other occasions, derived from free will, many of them are the effect of what we decide to do or not do. If you have any health problem, have you asked yourself (and answered honestly): Do I eat well? Do I exercise regularly? Do I sleep the corresponding hours? Do I take care of my mental, spiritual and physical health? Do I get regular check-ups?      If you are going through a financial crisis, have you analyzed: Have I been responsible with my finances? Have I followed biblical principles for handling money? Have I been patient to obtain my assets and have I not gone into debt? Am I making myself financially responsible for someone, who does correspond? Do I have unnecessary expenses that I need to eliminate? Have I taken the time to learn how to manage my finances? Am I making the necessary sacrifices to straighten out my finances?

If you are going through a crisis in your relationship, have you questioned yourself: Have I made God part of my relationship? Am I honoring and respecting my partner? Have I asked for forgiveness and have I forgiven? Am I trying to resolve the situation or am I running away from it? If you are going through stress, anxiety, worry, depression, we must analyze: Have I asked for help? Have I done activities to improve my mental well-being? Have I been intentional in internal healing? Do I listen and read uplifting things? Do I manage my time in the best way? Do I stop assuming responsibilities that do not correspond to me?

I think the most important question, no matter what situation we find ourselves in, is: Am I really doing my part, consistently?

God will never do what is for us to do. Many times the problems are solved, just by acting accordingly. Other times, it is appropriate to wait and be patient, but with the calm and certainty that we have done what we were supposed to do, and with the faith that God will act.

The good news is that every day is an opportunity to make a good decision. It is never too late to act for our own good. God in his mercy, always gives us an opportunity to start over and in his infinite grace, helps us in our processes.

«for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.» (Philippians 2:13 NIV)
