Today we live in an era inundated with social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, instant messaging and dating apps. Technology begins to supplant the physical interaction between people; replacing the face-to-face connection that motivates knowing the emotions of others. Dependence on a digital platform creates an immediate society that demands that everything must arrive instantly.
You must take into account that a healthy couple relationship is constituted by the following formula: Friendship + Courtship = Marriage. The real emotions of a person are not something that can be accelerated with an emoji. Be aware that the love of your life will not appear as an angel fallen from heaven by liking their photos; Social networks were formed to show an idealized character that would apparently make your whole world happy, but by meeting the person in real life; you will find that it does not meet the standards of perfection that your heart yearns for.
The word of God gives us a very clear reference of what we should do in the current age:
«For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.» Matthew 6:21 NIV
«Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.» Proverbs 4:23 NIV
How do we identify the ideal person that God has prepared for us? The answer is simple; That person will fit into your life, your family, your friends, your plans, they will share your Faith and your same beliefs, they will love you, they will respect you, they will not be difficult to conquer, they will influence you to always do the right thing, they will not make you feel pain, will always transmit confidence and security.
Currently people form check lists as a selection process to find the ideal person, I will not say that it is wrong to list and pray for the desires that your heart longs for, but have you ever wondered if you are the right person for the right person? What does God have prepared for you? People are not rehabilitation centers to fill gaps and repair wounds from the past; God will show you the right person when your heart is healthy. He works on you, shapes your character, corrects your mistakes, so that when that special person knocks on your door; be that ideal person who will fit into his heart.
And remember, there is nothing as perfect as the love of Christ, He will never let you down.
